The innovative cross-border circuit for tourist information and reception obtains additional resources for the future of sustainable tourism in the territories involved.

The OPEN TOURISM project, coordinated by the Unione dei Comuni Terre del Mare e del Sole in the period 2019-2021, was selected as one of the best projects financed by the European Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro program and received the mention of merit of "Capitalisation Leader". This recognition was awarded to only 21 selected projects out of a total of 80 and will allow for the activation of a further project phase to further disseminate and promote the results obtained.

This second phase of capitalization will make it possible to relaunch the project's activities and to strengthen the network of partner operators and territories in Italy, Albania and Montenegro through a series of workshops and B2B events. The aim is to network the tourist, cultural and environmental operators, both public and private, of the territories involved, expanding the OPEN TOURISM innovative model of information and tourist reception and representing a further impetus for the future of cross-border tourism.
