Overview

On 4 June 2021 from 16:30 to 18:00 the Union of Municipalities “Lands of Sea and Sun” (Italy), Lead Partner of the OPEN TOURISM project, organized its first workshop: “Social networks and web pages: tools and strategies for digital valorization of tourist destinations”. 

The evolution of the tourism sector, the great promotional channel represented by social networks to spread the beauty of the area, the innovative ways to reach holiday destinations were the main topics of the workshop addressed to public authorities and tourist and economic operators. 

Alfredo Longo (President of the Union of Municipalities “Lands of Sea and Sun”) introduced the workshop, Aldo Gucci (Pirene) shared his experience on business relations, while Antonio Mezzolla (Responsible for the OPEN TOURISM project within the Union of Municipalities) concluded the initiative. 

The Union of Municipalities “Lands of Sea and Sun” is made by the Municipalities of Avetrana, Fragagnano, Leporano, Pulsano, Maruggio, Lizzano and Torricella. The aim of the OPEN TOURISM project is to create a widespread tourist information and welcome model through a cross-border public-private cooperation made possible by the Programme Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro.
